Sales Application Engineer

Dry Coolers designs and manufactures industrial fluid cooling systems, ranging from small, standard point-of-service solutions to complex, plant-wide systems.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Sales Application Engineer to join our growing Engineered Sales team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for engineering solutions, manufacturing innovations, and customer interaction.

The Sales Application Engineer will focus on the design, engineering and sales of industrial process cooling systems across a diverse range of industries. A background in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and the heat treatment industry is preferred. This role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, proficiency in combining technical knowledge with sales acumen, and the ability to craft timely and accurate responses to technical engineering inquiries.

Location: Oxford, Michigan 
Full Time: 40-50 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Identify, pursue, and onboard new customers and new industries to sustain long-term growth.
  • Field incoming requests for quotes for new industrial cooling solutions.
  • Determine customer requirements and size cooling equipment appropriately. 
  • Source components at the most favorable value proposition, considering both quality and price.
  • Sustain minimum level of margin through smart design, sourcing and quoting.
  • Maintain internal product database to ensure accurate pricing for quoted projects.
  • Respond promptly and thoroughly to customer inquiries.
  • Interface with engineering team and manufacturing personnel to ensure project success.

Skills/Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year university and 3-5 years experience or the equivalent job-related experience working in field of Engineering or Engineered Sales.
