Electrical Controls Engineer (Oxford, MI or other unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.)
Job Duties
- Reviewing electrical specifications for incoming custom orders.
- Creating electrical schematics in AutoCAD electrical for our cooling equipment in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensuring that errors in manufacturing are minimized.
- Creating, editing, and troubleshooting PLC programs for company equipment.
- Debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing PLC programs.
- Troubleshooting our programming so that the startup at our customer’s site is simple and without errors.
- Assisting in the testing department as needed.
- Troubleshooting technical electrical issues on the phone with existing customers.
- Quoting aftermarket parts for existing customers.
- Assisting in start-up or troubleshooting electrical technical issues in the field.
- Assisting in research and development projects of new products and improvement of current products.
Skills/Qualifications
M.S. Electrical Engineering. Minimum 12 months experience in any related Electrical Controls or Automation Engineering positions related to industrial cooling systems. Minimum 12 months experience in: Cooling System Design; Industrial PLC & Robot programming; Electrical Specifications; Electrical Schematics; Cooling Process; Lean Manufacturing.
10% Domestic and International Travel. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
